Kenyataan Rasmi Bantuan £16,000 Kepada Rakyat Palestin

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Alhamdulillah, pihak MKP telah berjaya menyalurkan bantuan derma sebanyak £16,000 hasil daripada kutipan dari Nov 2009 - Sept 2010. Jutaan terima kasih diucapkan kepada semua yang telah menderma dan menjayakan aktiviti fundraising MKP selama ini. Misi ini tidak akan berjaya tanpa sokongan anda semua. Berikut adalah summary projek yang telah ditaja:

1. Organisation : Humanitarian Relief for Development Society
Project : Rent and Furnishing of Tahfeez School (Abdullah Bin Mas'ud Centre) at Shatila Refugee Camp. This school can accomodate up to 100 students.
Amount Required : £ 5,000
Donation Given : £ 5,000

2. Organisation : Humanitarian Relief for Development Society
Project : Purchase and Furnishing of Educational Service Centre at Shatila Refugee Camp
Amount Required : £ 70,000
Donation Given : £ 8,000

* Total amount of £ 13,000 were given to Humanitarian Relief for Development Society

3. Organisation : Al-Quds International Institution
Project : Projects inside Palestine (West Bank/Jerusalem)
Donation Given : £ 3,000

Selepas ini, pihak MKP akan terus menganjurkan aktiviti2 sebagai platform untuk masyarakat menyumbang kepada Palestin disamping memberi kesedaran berkenaan isu ini.

Pada hujung minggu hadapan, Sabtu 30 Oktober 2010, akan diadakan program Night of Palestine anjuran MKP Leicester. Harga tiket ialah £15 per person or £30 per family. Antara aktiviti, charity dinner, inspiring talk by Ismail Patel (Friends of al-Aqsa) dan sharing session trip ke Kem Pelarian Palestin di Beirut oleh Abdul Rahman Mohmad, auctions, performance, adan banyak lagi. Charity Auction @ Misi Kasih Palestin

Sempena program Misi Kasih Palestin (Night for Palestine) yang akan diadakan di Leicester pada 30 Oktober 2010, MSM EMSY (Majlis Syura Muslimun, East Midlands South Yorkshire) akan mengadakan slot "Charity Auction".

Ini bertujuan utk menggalakkan semua tetamu yang hadir untuk berlumba-lumba membuat kebaikan (fastabikul khairat) dengan konsep membeli sambil beramal. 100% keuntungan dari slot ini akan disalurkan kepada projek-projek Misi Kasih Palestin MSM.

“Siapa yang mahu memberi pinjaman kepada Allah, pinjaman yang baik (menginfakkan hartanya di jalan Allah), maka Allah akan memperlipat gandakan pembayaran kepadanya dengan lipat ganda yang banyak. Dan Allah menyempitkan dan melapangkan (rezki) dan kepada-Nya-lah kamu dikembalikan.” {2::245}

Untuk tujuan ini, kami ingin meminta jasa baik anda untuk mendermakan barang-barang baru atau terpakai yang boleh dilelongkan di slot “Charity Auction” ini.

Contoh barang-barang yang boleh didermakan adalah seperti barang-barang rumah (e.g. hiasan rumah, barang-barang dapur, set pinggan mangkuk etc.), barangan elektronik (e.g. telefon bimbit lama, kamera, MP3 etc.), barang-barang hiasan (set hadiah, aksesori telefon etc.), buku-buku atau apa-apa sahaja barang terpakai yang masih elok dan boleh dijualkan semula.

Stories from viva palestine convoy, on their way to Gaza....

STUFF DREAMS ARE MADE OFF

Last night we had the local Palestinian community visit us. They live in the nearby Refugee Camp & come from all over Palestine; Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jaffa, Gaza...

There were so many & they were all over us that it was uncomfortable.

Where're you from?
What's your name?
How old are you?

And on and on. The open display of affection too was overwhelming : hugs, kisses, hand shakes.

I was scheming my escape when a young girl I had spoken to earlier asked if I was happy. The question threw me off.

And I asked "Happy?"

She asked again, "Are you happy you are going to Gaza??"

I answered "InshaAllah, if we get to Gaza, I'll be very happy,"
to which she replied back, "That's my dream. You are making my dream come true."

What else could I say...? I felt my eyes welling with tears & silently chided myself for my earlier thoughts. That what we're doing will in all likelihood remain an unfulfilled dream to many of these people before me was humbling indeed.

And today Azura & I were out looking for a pair of sandals at the shops at the nearby Palestinian refugee camp.

We walked into a store & while trying the sandals out, a young boy whispered something into the shop owner's ears. When asked how much, the owner refused to take any money. We found out that the young boy had told him we were on our way to Gaza.

Once again my emotions were threatening to get the better of me & I hastened my exit, lest I burst into tears.

Simple acts, simple words that bring it all sharply back into focus.
This is not about us & how far we've travelled or how tired we are or what we feel.
It's about them & that the whole lot of us are living their dreams...........

2010 Projects Sponsored by MKP

Assalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters,

Alhamdulillah, the Palestine Mercy Mission (Misi Kasih Palestin, MKP) project conducted by Majlis Syura Muslimun UK/Eire (and through support of various individuals and organisations) has successfully reached its target of £10,000 by September 2010. The total donation collected as on 3/10/10 is;

£ 14,818.45
€ 1,414.12

Again, we would like to thank all donors for their generous contributions.

The donation will be used to sponsor a couple of educational-based projects currently carried out by Humanitarian Relief for Development Society for the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Specifically, a part of the donation raised (£5,000) will be used to sponsor the Rent and Furnishing of Abdullah Bin Mas'ud Centre (إيجار و تأثيث مركز عبد الله بن مسعود) project (amount required US$ 7,500). The centre, which is a tahfeez school, will be employed to accommodate 100 girls of Shatila Camp, Beirut and its vicinity.

A minimum amount of £7,000 has also been allocated to partially sponsor the Purchase and Furnishing of Educational Service Centre - Shatila Camp (شراء و تأثيث مركز الخدمات التعليمية - مخيم شاتيلا) project (amount required US$ 111,900). The school is one of the three educational service centre projects that are being established by the Humanitarian Relief for Development Society, in which the other two centres are located in Nahr Al-Bared and Mar Elias Camps.

£3,000 will be given to Al-Quds International Institution during the visit to support a welfare project in West Bank, Palestine. Moreover, a small amount of the donation will be used to buy some stationery as a gift to kindergarten children during a visit to their school.

9 representatives (Malaysian students in the UK) are scheduled to visit Lebanon on 8-13 October 2010 to hand over the donation to the respective organisations, and at the same time undergo a short course on Palestinian issues under Al-Zaytouna Centre for Consultation and Studies in Beirut.
